Mobile internet and internship management of Higher Vocational College

Abstract

Internship has become a key factor in the Higher Vocational Education (HVE) and is the indispensable way to improve the students’ vocational quality and skills. Limited by the current development situation of HVE in China, the internship work of most colleges confronts many concrete management problems, such as, students scattered in many practice sites, security management issues, difficulty in gathering information and communication and so on. To solve these problems, the utilization of mobile internet and intelligent terminal’s function of anytime, anywhere on line, the position service, the internship management, and the operation system of vocational college based on intelligent terminal is presented in this paper. The new system realizes the information feedback and real-time communication mechanisms among the internship entities, builds the information statistical and analysis function, and provides students’ position service. The implementation of the new system can strengthen students’ safety management, reduce the management cost, promote the management efficiency, improve the construction of major and curriculum systems, and advance beneficial development of the internship. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
