This article describes the project carried out by the students of the vocational training cycles of IES Escolas Proval [1] to participate in the CanSat challenge [2] organised by Esero, the Spanish delegation of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Educational Resources Office [3]. The challenge consists of building a satellite the size of a soda can that is capable of carrying out a specific mission. The development of the work and the search for solutions are challenges that students must overcome with the help of their mentors. © 2024 IEEE.
