The SECOVE project addresses the imperative of sustainable energy within Europe by establishing a network of cooperation among Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in the clean and sustainable energy field. This European four-year initiative aims to create a transnational platform for collaboration and dialogue. By promoting learner-centered and inclusive CoVEs, the project ensures the alignment of vocational education and training with labor market needs in sustainable energy. Additionally, SECOVE emphasizes innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurialism within the sector, fostering collaboration between education and industry to encourage the development of new ideas and services. Recognizing the importance of work-based learning and gender diversity, the project facilitates the recognition and certification of work-based experiences while actively working to attract more women to technical occupations. SECOVE also focuses on fostering a culture of quality within CoVEs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education in sustainable energy. Moreover, the SECOVE project represents a significant endeavor in promoting vocational excellence, innovation, and inclusivity in the field of sustainable energy, contributing to a greener future for Europe and beyond. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
