Abstract

In Switzerland, dual-vet apprenticeship represents the most used form of initial vocational training. It is recognized for its success in terms of learning of a profession as well as professional integration. However, almost a quarter of youths interrupt their training prematurely. Analyzing this phenomenon through the comparison of two vocational training tracks based on apprenticeship sheds light upon the Swiss vocational training system as well as the transition from school to work that is related to it. © 2020 Documentation Francaise.
