Introduction and Objectives: The educational potential of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies has gained significant attention in recent years. Understanding teachers' willingness to adopt new technologies is crucial for supporting their integration into education . This study aims to assess the effectiveness of AR-based digital technology applications as learning media for improving martial arts learning outcomes in the Basic engineering Materials course at the Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State University. Methodology: This experimental study used a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 62 students from the Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State University, selected through cluster random sampling. The subjects were divided into a control group and an experimental group. Data was collected using a pretest-posttest design. Statistical analysis was performed using the Shapiro-Wilk and Wilcoxon tests in SPSS software. Results: The results showed a significant difference in learning outcomes between students using AR-based learning media and those who did not. The p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05) indicates that the use of AR-based learning media significantly improved students' learning outcomes at the Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State University. Conclusion: The study concludes that AR-based learning media are effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes, particularly in martial arts education . This finding contributes to the development of mobile-assisted learning and technology-enhanced education . © 2025 Federacion Espanola de Docentes de Educacion Fisica. All rights reserved.

This study aims to develop a Digital Assessment-based Industrial Internship Evaluation Model for Freedom to Learn (Merdeka Belajar dan Kampus Merdeka; MBKM) in government institutions. In implementing Industrial Internships to assess student performance in government institutions, there currently needs to be an evaluation model to assess student work competencies following Standard Operating Procedures because MBKM is a new program implemented in higher education . This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a limited trial location in the Bandung City Government Agency. Data collection involved industrial work practice practitioners, external supervisors, and a team of experts from government institutions. The results showed that the MBKM Evaluation Model is recommended for implementing Industrial Work Practices in Government Agencies. Applying the MBKM Digital Assessment Model makes assessing practitioner performance objectively and accurately easy, practical, efficient, and satisfying for industry practitioners as assessors. This research contributes to developing a digital assessment-based MBKM Evaluation Model that can be used in implementing Industrial Work Practices in Government Institutions, increasing objectivity, accuracy, and efficiency in assessing student performance and providing benefits to all parties involved in implementing Industrial Work Practices. © School of engineering , Taylor’s University.

This study aims to assess the readiness of production workshop facilities and infrastructure for implementing a teaching factory. Observations were conducted to determine if the minimum requirements were met. The results indicated that the readiness of the facilities and infrastructure achieved a percentage of 82.42%. This high level of readiness suggests that the current state of the facilities and infrastructure is largely sufficient to support the teaching factory model. However, there are areas that require further improvement to fully optimize the implementation process. The study highlights the importance of continuous evaluation and upgrading of resources to ensure the successful integration of teaching factories in educational settings. © School of engineering , Taylor’s University.

The focus of this study was to develop a curriculum model that would comply with the regulations governing professional teacher programs. Some problems in implementing vocational teacher professional education are, among others, that the curriculum is not yet optimal to integrate learning experiences between theory and practice, learning to teach, practice in practice in schools and industry, and systemic collaboration between vocational teacher professional education organizing universities, partner schools, and the industry and business world is not yet optimal. The overall goal of this research is to create a vocational Pre-Service Teacher Professional education curriculum model that aligns with the role of technical and vocational education in Indonesia. The specific purposes of this study include gathering information on the current conditions surrounding the implementation of vocational teacher professional education , designing sustainable vocational teacher professional education curriculum models to produce professional vocational teachers that meet the field's needs, and formulating procedures for implementing a continuous vocational teacher professional education curriculum model. In the work, an analysis of modern methods of Educational Data Mining (EDM) was carried out, on the basis of which a set of methods of EDM was developed for the training of vocational education teachers. The basic methods of EDM are considered, namely Prediction, Clustering, Relationship Mining, Distillation of Data for Human Judgment, Discovery with Models. The possibilities of using artificial neural networks, in particular, networks of Long-Short-Term Memory (LSTM), to predict the results of the educational process are described. The main methods of clustering and segmentation of educational data are considered. The basic methods of EDM are complemented by specialized methods of digital image pre-processing and methods of artificial intelligence, taking into account the peculiarities of the training of future specialists in engineering and pedagogical specialties. As specialized methods of digital image pre-processing, methods of filtering, contrast enhancement and contour selection are used. As specialized methods of artificial intelligence, methods of image segmentation, object detection on images, object detection using fuzzy logic were used. Methods of object detection on images using convolutional neural networks and using the Viola-Jones method are described. To process data with a certain degree of uncertainty, it is proposed to apply the methods of EDM and Fuzzy Logic in a integral manner. Ways of integrating Fuzzy Logic with methods of data clustering, image segmentation and object detection on images are considered. The possibilities of applying the developed complex of specialized methods of EDM in the educational process, in particular, when performing STEM (Science, Technology, engineering and Mathematics) projects, are described. © 2025, Modern education and Computer Science Press. In engineering education , fostering problem-solving skills is essential for students to meet industry demands. Project-Based Problem Learning (PBPL) is a promising approach to enhancing these skills. This study aims to investigate the impact of PBPL on the problem-solving skills of engineering education students and explore their perceptions of PBPL. A sequential mixed-method approach combined quantitative pre-and post-test analysis with qualitative insights from interviews and questionnaires. The results indicate a significant improvement in problem-solving skills among students after implementing PBPL. Moreover, students expressed positive perceptions of PBPL, highlighting its benefits in enhancing critical thinking and collaboration. PBPL shows promise in enhancing problem-solving skills among engineering education students and has positive implications for teaching and learning in universities. The findings suggest that integrating PBPL into engineering curricula can effectively enhance students' problem-solving abilities, better preparing them for future challenges in the industry. © The Author(s) 2025.

STEM education is a learning approach developed to equip students with integrated knowledge in Science, Technology, engineering , and Mathematics. This teaching method has many positive impacts on both students and teachers. Therefore, Indonesia, which has adopted a curriculum "Merdeka" emphasizing educational freedom, has begun to embrace this teaching method in its schools. This study proposes understanding the development of STEM research in Indonesia over the past five years, from 2018 to 2022. The systematic literature review approach was used as the methodology for this study and focused on Scopus-indexed articles. The research findings are based on the following: the number of studies over the five years has been fluctuating; the majority of articles were published in international conferences; Malaysia dominates as the collaborating country; the level of education where research implementation is dominant in high school; and the active STEM learning activities are primarily related to physics. From this study, it can be concluded that further development of STEM education research in Indonesia is possible and a high opportunity. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc.. By determining the elements that impact VR technology adoption, teachers can create plans to raise student engagement and improve learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to determine the elements that contribute to the effective use of virtual reality (VR) technology by vocational education students, allowing them to acquire information and skills relevant to the sector and become workforce ready. The research data was collected utilizing a quantitative surveybased methodology with a questionnaire. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used in this study from the perspective of students pursuing vocational higher education . Data for this study was gathered in June 2023 using an online questionnaire involving 100 vocational students from the Faculty of engineering from reputable universities in the Province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. The research data was analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This study found that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived enjoyment had a significant and positive indirect effect (through intervening variables) on the vocational students' behavior and intention to use VR in learning process. These factors can be considered when determining the appropriate virtual reality to be implemented in the learning process and ensuring its use at the appropriate time and environment. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc.. Industrial engineering is a dynamically developing field, integrating practices from several engineering disciplines. In this article, we analysed the development of science and research in industrial engineering by examining publication trends in indexed databases. Based on published studies, we identified key competencies required by industrial engineers to effectively manage corporate resources. Along with multidisciplinary knowledge, industrial engineers must be able to implement practical solutions considering environmental and safety aspects. The education is essential for future industrial engineers to have the opportunity to develop necessary skills. The article also explores the education of industrial engineers, and the development of the number of graduates in Slovakia. The results indicate that the content of industrial engineering education only partially meets current requirements. Additionally, our findings show a stable trend in industrial engineering publications in indexed databases, and after a decline, a slightly increasing trend in the number of industrial engineering graduates. © 2025, MM publishing Ltd..
