Exploration of Vocational College education Mechanism - Modular Course Development to Adapt to the Upgrading of Enterprise Production Lines

In response to the evolving job responsibilities driven by the upgrading of enterprise production lines, this study proposes a framework for developing modular courses based on finite element technology. Initially, the teaching content was designed in alignment with industry demands. Subsequently, geometric and finite element models were established based on the operational principles of production line detection systems. Third, numerical calculations yielded visual resources, exemplified by Mises stress plots and displacement (U) plots. These visual aids facilitated the creation of a modular curriculum, which was implemented through teaching experiments followed by comprehensive evaluations. Results indicate that the modular course effectively enables students to grasp the operational principles, procedural workflows, and mechanical performance assessments of detection systems. By incorporating digital materials and interactive teaching methods, student engagement and motivation were significantly enhanced. This approach allows vocational colleges to better adapt to the changing needs of enterprises, thereby developing more effective modular courses that cultivate high-quality skilled personnel. © 2024 IEEE.

The Innovative Practice of "Five-Party Collaborative Three-Dimensional Reconstruction"in the Talents Training in Vocational Colleges

The development of geographic information industry urgently needs more talents with high quality and strong technical skills as support. However, in teaching, scientific research and other aspects, teachers are unable to effectively solve problems and transform results based on industrial development, which leads to the mismatch between the training of surveying and mapping geographic information talents and the development needs of the industry. Advancements and Challenges of Problem-Based Learning: A Case Study of Daystar University

The global higher education landscape is fast evolving, demanding that universities equip students with critical knowledge and 21st-century skills. Daystar University (DU) 's switch from teacher-centered models to Problem-Based Learning (PBL) reflects this shift. PBL stresses critical thinking and real-world problem-solving, essential for today’s interconnected world. The chapter examined the challenges and advancements of PBL implementation at DU using qualitative methods involving interviews with 30 selected informants and document analysis. Findings show that while PBL has been integrated across various programs, challenges like resistance to change, insufficient faculty training, and resource limitations persist. However, significant progress has been made, including adopting technology-enhanced tools, increased faculty collaboration, and a growing culture of innovation among students. The study recommends targeted faculty development, improved infrastructure, and stronger support systems to enhance PBL’s effectiveness in fostering more profound learning experiences. © 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
